Blofield and Cromer had all guns blazing as they boosted their goal tallies in a title race head-to-head.

The top-table Beavers beat Norwich Union 6-0 in their Lovewell Blake Anglian Combination Premier Division fixture on Saturday, while the second-placed Crabs won 8-0 against Gorleston Reserves at Emerald Park.

Those results extended their advantage over Acle and Sheringham, who respectively lost 3-2 to Beccles Town and 3-1 to Lowestoft Town Reserves.

Colin Wines hit a hat-trick for Blofield, who, from two matches more, stay five points ahead of Cromer. Alex Jefferies, Stevie Smith and Paul Warman were the other marksmen at Yarmouth Road.

Darren Terrington scored four times for Cromer, whose other marksmen were Ben Thompson (2), Tom Davies and Ryan Honeyman.

Nicholas Day, Alan Remblance and Andy Woods were the Beccles scorers, with Mark Higgins and Aaron Hogg on target for Acle.

Ross Brown, Ross King and Gary Williams netted for Lowestoft, with Kristian Gleave replying for Sheringham.

Brandon beat Wroxham Reserves 3-2 (John Waites 2 and Lee Webber) and are fifth on goal difference from Halvergate, who won 2-0 (Chris Fielding and Nathan Thompson) against St Andrews.

Goals from Jonathan King, Simon Mann and Glen Sharp earned Attleborough Town a 3-2 win over Sprowston Athletic.

Division One leaders Dersingham Rovers beat Holt 5-0 and, from two matches more, stay nine points ahead of second-placed Mattishall, who won by the same score against Aylsham Wanderers.

Julian Delicata (2), Steven Clark, Stuart Deadman and Adam Seal were Dersingham's scorers.

Daniel Cushing, Ricky Forder, Gary Harbour, James Lovell and Simon Mowbray scored for Mattishall.

Third-placed Sprowston Wanderers beat fourth-placed Southwold 2-0 (Gilmore Saaiman and Shaun Wones) to stay six points behind Mattishall with two games in hand.

Wells, who are fifth, drew 0-0 with bottom team Mulbarton, while sixth-placed Loddon drew 1-1 (James Marjoribanks) with Horsford, whose scorer was Daniel Tarr.

Horsford are now second from bottom, below Stalham Town, who picked up three precious points from a 1-0 (Peter Skivington) win at seventh-placed Hindringham.

Scole won 1-0 (Ben Took) against Dereham Town Reserves, while Hempnall and Wymondham Town drew 1-1, with Shaun Flint and Jason Garwood their respective scorers.

t Mid-table Poringland produced the result of the day in Division Two, beating runaway leaders Mundford 5-0.

With a game in hand, Mundford are still nine points clear of second-placed Long Stratton, their next opponents.
