Goalkeeping coach Tommy Wright has today left the club by mutual consent. The former Northern Ireland international joined the Canaries last May after being appointed by his one-time Newcastle teammate Glenn Roeder.

Speaking to the club's official website, Wright commented: "I've really enjoyed my time at Carrow Road and enjoyed working with all the goalkeepers. Norwich City is a club that seems to be able to produce top class goalkeepers and I think in the short time I've been here I've been able to help David, Stuart, Declan, Jed and all the other young 'keepers. I am parting on good terms and I look forward to seeing Norwich City staying safe in the division this season."

City manager Bryan Gunn added: "I'm sorry to see Tommy leave the Club. He's been a true professional during the last month and has helped me in the dressing room and on the training pitch. The goalkeepers here have benefited from his vast experience and they will be better 'keepers for his experience. We wish Tommy the very best with his future career."

Wright formerly managed Ballymena Town and picked up 31 caps during a distinguished playing career which saw him have spells at Linfield, Newcastle United, Hull City, Nottingham Forest, Reading, Manchester City, Wrexham and Bolton Wanderers.
