Spurs will travel to Carrow Road tomorrow without three front-line players due to suspension but the Norwich City trio who were in danger of a ban have all reached their yellow card amnesty.

Five yellow cards before the conclusion of the 19th game of the Premier League season brings a one-game ban for a player, with that point reached on Boxing Day.

Max Aarons, Kenny McLean and Sam Byram all managed to avoid their fifth yellow card of the campaign as the Canaries lost 1-0 at Aston Villa, to leave them bottom of the table and with just one win in 14 games.

But Spurs midfielders Moussa Sissoko and Harry Winks, France and England internationals respectively, were not as careful and activated their one-game suspensions during a 2-1 home win over Brighton.

That was a fourth win from Jose Mourinho's first seven league matches since taking over from Mauricio Pochettino in late November, lifting Tottenham to fifth and within three points of fourth placed Chelsea.

Sissoko and Winks will join Heung-Min Son on the sidelines, who picked up a straight red card during a 2-0 home loss to Chelsea just before Christmas to earn a three-game ban.

The South Korea star has five goals and seven assists to his name from 16 games but will miss the match in Norfolk (5.30pm kick-off).

The next cut off arrives after the 32nd game of the season, when the amnesty for 10 yellow cards arrives in March, which will bring a two-game ban if any players are booked 10 times before then. Fifteen before the end of the season brings a three-game ban.

Norwich have McLean, Aarons and Byram on four yellows, as well as Alex Tettey, Marco Stiepermann and Teemu Pukki on three.

Canaries boss Daniel Farke was shown a yellow card during his team's defeat at Villa, for a furious reaction to what he saw as a throw-in being given the wrong way in the build-up to the hosts' winner. Off-field staff pick up a one-game ban for four yellows, two games for eight or three games for 12.
