THE heroic Lowestoft Town squad and management are set to parade around the town this Sunday.

Praising the Blues for their fantastic achievement in reaching the national FA Vase final - and being just six minutes away from victory - a special street parade has been organised to salute the side that has put the town on the map.

After their narrow 2-1 defeat to Lancashire-based Kirkham & Wesham, the players will board a bus, which has been especially decked out in Blue, leaving their Crown Meadow headquarters at 10.45am.

They will then follow the route of leaving Love Road, going onto Rotterdam Road, to Denmark Road before turning left onto Katwijk Way and travelling along the one-way system and back onto Bevan Street.

With the players set to arrive in Bevan Street at around 11am, they will then be led through the town centre by the Air Training Corps marching band.

Progressing through the centre of town, the parade will then head to the Britten Centre, arriving at around 11.15am. Here they will address the crowds before the parade will recommence at around 11.30am, with the players and officials being taken to the Town Hall for a civic reception with Waveney District Council members at around noon.
