Thus, Ruston are on course to lift three trophies this term, already booked in for the Optic Benevolent Cup Final against Buxton on Easter Monday morning while in the league they are 10 points ahead of Buxton who have only two games in hand.

“After losing players to senior clubs after our successful championship season of 2005/06 we had to rebuild and I think our record this season proves it has been successful,” declared club manager Malcolm Burton.

Ruston's next opponents in the division one cup are Hickling who were already through, while Lyng who beat North Walsham OB on penalties after a 4-4 draw entertain Mundesley.

In Wayford Nurseries Division Two Horning extended their lead to five points by beating Aylsham A 5-1 with Coltishall in second spot after a 7-0 crushing of Felmingham. Aldborough are now third with three games in hand and six points off.

In Knights Trophies Division Three Stalham A improved their promotion prospects with an 8-2 victory over Blakeney.
