The Planters moved up three Ridgeons League Premier Division places to sixth bottom with this win

Goals early in the second half from Paul Atkins and Justin Fox gave them all three points.

Manager Paul Chick made two changes from the side that lost at home to CRC the previous week, Jake McCabe replacing Chris Squires at right back, and George Wilson came in for Jordan Blyth in midfield.

United started well and in the fourth minute a good run down the left from Ben Furlong led to a chance for Atkins who shot wide at the far post.

Despite their domination the Planters failed to create chances and eventually Debenham came into the encounter after 26 minutes when Dave Cannon's cross to the far post was headed back across goal by Shaun French, but it flew past the post. The game was end to end and both keepers had to be alert, Debenham keeper Louis Johnson to deny Steve Shipley and Ben Nower after a Planters' defensive error.

Debenham almost took the lead in the closing minutes of the half when a free-kick from deep found Mark Powling, but he shot wide from the edge of the area.

Norwich United looked a different prospect after the break and they took the lead just four minutes after the re-start when Lee Hunter crossed from wide on the right and Atkins allowed the ball to bounce and headed it back across Johnson and into the far top corner of the net.

Nower had to hold onto Powling's glancing header but it was the Planters in the ascendancy and a Hunter header released Andrew Claydon. Tthe striker took the ball into the area but shot wide.

The Planters weren't to be denied however and within two minutes they had their second goal. Justin Fox released Hunter down the right, Hunter did well to find space and when he crossed the ball the home defenders, concentrating on Claydon and Atkins, didn't see Fox. He timed his run to perfection to meet Hunter's cross and sidefoot home.

Substitute Ricci Butler created himself a good chance on the edge of the area but shot over the bar.

Debenham's chances were few and far between but midway through the half a good ball found Ian Gedny who lobbed over Nower but well wide of the target.

The Planters were in firm control now and introduced Michael Tacon for his first first team appearance. His first touch was a cross to Claydon whose shot was deflected over the bar.

In the closing minutes Fox saw his free-kick hitting the wall and going wide with Claydon just unable to get a touch and Shipley found Butler, whose shot went just wide.
