Mustard sports editor Michael Bailey and Eastern Daily Press chief writer Paddy Davitt have their say on the way home from Wigan, following Norwich City’s EFL Championship draw at the struggling Latics.

City led at half-time thanks to Nelson Oliveira’s header – with a little help from his shoulder – but couldn’t sustain their lead after the break, and ultimately needed Mitchell Dijks’ first goal for his loan club to salvage a point at DW Stadium.

Alex Neil’s Canaries had the chance to return to the Championship’s top six with victory, but now sit two points off the play-off places having played a game more than sixth-placed Sheffield Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Yanic Wildschut endured a difficult return to the club he left only last week, after making a £7m deadline day switch to the Canaries.

Norwich return to action on Saturday with another struggling side Nottingham Forest at Carrow Road, before title challenging Newcastle United arrive in Norfolk on Tuesday night.
