Norwich City legend Darren Huckerby looks set to lose his under-23s coaching role as part of the latest changes to club staff being implemented by sporting director Stuart Webber.

U23s assistant Huckerby as well as first-team head physio Stuart Wardle are believed to have left the club, alongside the academy’s head of recruitment Greg Broughton and head of coaching Phil Church.

The exits are yet to be confirmed by City but Webber spoke at length about his plans for improving the club’s academy last week, following the arrival of Steve Weaver as academy manager, who he worked with at Huddersfield.

Huckerby is a member of the Canaries’ hall of fame having been an integral member of the Division One title-winning squad under Nigel Worthington in 2004.

He rejoined the club as a youth coach, following an acrimonious departure as a player under Glenn Roeder back in 2008, working his way through coaching the U16 and U18 squads at Colney, before taking on the role of assisting Matt Gill’s U23 development squad in the summer.
