I'm glad I made the decision to renew my season ticket for next year; well to be honest it was never even in question that I wouldn't. Every week we go in hope more than anything else and in the last few home games that hope has been turned into reality.

It's been a real pleasure going to Carrow Road and watching the performances - unfortunately we haven't been able to say that too often this season.

I'm looking forward to the final three home games of the season and there's no reason why we can't win them all - especially the Ipswich game!

I now feel quite positive about next year and believe we will be challenging for a top six place, barring any injuries and loss of form to key players.

When I say key players, I don't just mean Earnshaw, Huckerby etc, I'm talking about our midfield two. Etuhu and Safri have been brilliant in the last two home games against Birmingham and Stoke and it makes such a huge difference when they play well.

Etuhu was winning the ball, bombing forward, tracking back and having shots on goal. These qualities haven't been seen too often and if he could only do it week in, week out it would make such a difference.

With the international break now upon us, it'll give the players a chance to re-charge the batteries but for some they still have games to play. It was great that Chris Martin got his England U19 call and scored his first goal, he fully deserves it, especially after the back-heel to set up Darren Huckerby for Saturday's winner.

I had to keep re-winding it and ended up watching it about eight times, it was that good!

Of course there is one big concern with the internationals. Hopefully when Mr Safri returns, he's ready to play at Colchester next week and not suffering from fatigue because we need him. He said in the newspaper last week that it's club before country for him. Lets hope that's still the case come next Saturday at Layer Road.

On a final note, football people don't always get good press but I'd like to thank our goalkeeping coach who made a young relative of mine very happy last Saturday when he gave him his goalkeeping gloves. It's usually the little things that count and that certainly did.
