Former Canaries winger Simon Whaley has joined Chesterfield for the rest of the season.Whaley was a free agent after his City contract was cancelled in January - just six months after he moved to Carrow Road from Preston.

Whaley was a free agent after his City contract was cancelled in January - just six months after he moved to Carrow Road from Preston.
The 24-year-old quickly fell out of favour after Paul Lambert took over as City boss, faling to make his League One team and playing just twice in cup matches before being deemed surplus to requirements
With little prospect of first team football at City, Whaley had loan spells at Rochdale and Bradford City inLeague Two. He also had a trial at Oldham after being released
