City defender Rhoys Wiggins is set to make the last appearance of his loan spell with Bournemouth tomorrow.

The left-back joined the Cherries at the end of January, when they were granted an emergency loan signing after dropping below 14 available outfield players.

The loan was extended by another month with the injury crisis at Dean Court not easing, but the Cherries were able to name six out of a possible seven substitutes against Notts County recently.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said: "He's done us proud. He came in at Crewe and it was as if he had never been away. That's the biggest compliment you can pay him. Our injury situation is relatively good at the moment and we've got players returning. Unfortunately for us and Rhoys, that means he will have to go back after the Grimsby game."

Wiggins, left, has made just three first team appearances for City since former boss Bryan Gunn signed him from Crystal Palace last July.
