Norwich City youngster Jamal Lewis was handed his Northern Ireland Under-21 debut and helped to seal victory in Estonia.

The 19-year-old left-back played all of a 2-1 win in Tallinn as new boss Ian Baraclough got his reign off to a winning start at the beginning of 2019 European U21 Championship qualifying.

Rauno Sappinen opened the scoring for the hosts in the 50th minute but David Parkhouse equalised for the Irish in the 74th minute and a penalty from skipper Liam Donnelly in the fourth minute of added time snatched the points.

Canaries defender Joe Crowe was an unused substitute and will have to wait for his opportunity for an U21 debut.

Tomorrow’s international action for City’s players sees Timm Klose in the Faroe Islands with Switzerland, with the defender hoping to be involved in the World Cup qualifier (7.45pm kick-off) as his team try to keep hold of top spot in Group B.
