Young full-back Louis Ramsay has returned to Norwich City for treatment on an ankle injury and is not expected to feature again for loan club Woking until mid-October.

The 20-year-old was taken off on a stretcher during the second half of a 2-0 home win over Sutton United in the National League on September 16 – and Woking boss Anthony Limbrick is looking forward to Ramsay’s return.

“Louis is back at Norwich at the moment getting treatment for an ankle injury, it wasn’t the best injury for him and it’s probably going to be a while,” he told Get Surrey. “I don’t have an exact time frame on it yet but it will be more than a couple of weeks, that’s for sure.

“Unfortunately it’s a big loss for us as he did quite well when he came back into the side and got forward and provided width. He got forward well against Solihull and Sutton, so he will be a loss to us but we do have him for the whole season, so it will be like a new signing when he comes back.”

The right-back has made 10 appearances for the Surresy side so far this season, who are currently sixth in the National League table.
