Nigel Worthington has another key decision to make as the new season draws nearer for Norwich City - who to appoint as team captain.

There may be a few clues tonight when the Canaries kick off their warm-up campaign with the first of six pre-season fixtures, taking on Ridgeons League side Fakenham Town at Clipbush Park.

While Craig Fleming continues as club captain, the on-field role was given at different times last season to Andy Hughes, Gary Doherty and Adam Drury, who finished the campaign with the job he held in City's Nationwide League title-winning season in 2003-04, while Fleming himself wore the armband at various stages.

“We'll be looking at that over the next 10 days,” said Worthington. “We've got a few ideas on what we want to do but we want to make sure we make the right decision. We want to get it nailed down so we can say that's the man, now off you go.”
