Lowestoft Town joint boss Micky Chapman is excited at the chance to play Wrexham in the FA Cup - but is totally focused on getting beyond Gloucester City first.

The Blues host the Tigers in a fourth qualifying round replay at Crown Meadow tomorrow night with a prize of a trip to north Wales to face the Blue Square Premier side in the first round of the competition on November 7.

Wrexham are currently managed by former Wales international striker Dean Saunders and are 16th in their league, which is three levels above Lowestoft.

And Chapman, who did not watch yesterday's first round draw live, insisted all his focus was on Gloucester after his side earned a last-gasp draw away from home on Saturday.

"I got a text through to let me know what it was. It's exciting. Wrexham are a massive club with a lot of history.

"It wasn't that long ago since they were beating Arsenal. I remember Mickey Thomas rattling one in. But they've got a big history and a big club. It's a mouthwatering proposition and a massive carrot dangling in front of us to be able to test ourselves against them.

"Before we can even think about that we've got Gloucester to contend with.

"They're a good side, they're a strong side. We had a tough encounter on Saturday and it's going to be no different on Tuesday. We can't start looking ahead. You start looking too far ahead and that's when you come unstuck."
