An interesting mid-table clash is on the cards at Trafford Park this afternoon when Wroxham host Walsham-le-Willows (3pm).

Last weekend the Yachtsmen sailed through to the second round of the FA Vase, beating Northampton Spencer 3-0.

But manager David Batch insists they are fully focused back on the league where they have lost only one game since the beginning of September - to current Premier Division leaders Leiston.

“We are in league mentality,” he said. “We have to get a certain amount of points for our self-imposed target. We lost to Leiston in the last league game so we're desperate to get something from this game.”

Wroxham are currently 11th in the table, one below Walsham-le-Willows. They both have 16 points, only separated by goal difference, although the hosts have played two games fewer.

Walsham, managed by Paul Smith, have netted 22 goals and conceded 14 while their Norfolk rivals have hit 18 and let in 11. Top goalscorer for Wroxham is Owen Paynter, who has netted seven (five in the league and two in the Vase), while Paul Cook and Steve Spriggs have scored four each.

Gary Gilmore returns to the squad from a slight thigh strain and his replacement in the last game, Matt Daniels - who scored one and set one up and played well - retains his place. James Bulman, who has been scoring regularly for the reserves, is added.

Wroxham will have to watch out for Walsham's nippy striker Alan Ross and will have to battle their way past captain Trevor Newman, a commanding centre-back.

Earlier in the season Walsham took fellow Ridgeons Premier outfit Kirkley and Pakefield to a replay in the FA Cup before being knocked out.

Meanwhile, Yarmouth boss Paul Tong faces a selection dilemma for the Bloaters' Norfolk Senior Cup third round tie at Dersingham. Tong shuffled his pack for the midweek First Division KO Cup win at Swaffham to extend the Bloaters' unbeaten run to seven.

Gareth Palmer and Bernardo Junior missed the Pedlars win while skipper Stewart Roach and Scott Woodcock were left on the bench.

Lynn travel to Kirkley in the Ridgeons Premier Division without experienced defender Kevin Leggett after his midweek move to local rivals Wisbech. The Linnets' second string is boosted by the return of Darryl Rose who was on first team duty recently.

Wisbech boss Gary Setchell is confident skipper Paul Cousins will be fit for the trip to Felixstowe and Walton after being carried off in the recent defeat at Dereham. Jordan Yong is unavailable.
