Wymondham Town Ladies played their first pre-season against Freethorpe and put in a very professional performance.

Wymondham started the game very well, opening the scoring within the first 10 minutes with a goal direct from a corner from Vicky Hudson. Wymondham continued to apply pressure and were having all the possession.

Great link-up play was being made all over the pitch and there was some great two-touch football from Wymondham. Further goals came from Vicky, after some good link-up play down the left with Amy, Helen Crisp with a tap-in from a cross and Elle Hyam with a header from a corner in the first half to make the score 4-0 at half-time.

Wymondham started the second half as they finished the first, dominating play and playing some delightful football which again created chances which Wymondham took; Laura Parry hitting a volley in, Katie Rumble lobbing the keeper from a wide position, Louise flicking the ball over the keeper, Amy and Helen getting tap-ins after great crosses and Becky smashing the ball home form six yards.

The whole team performance was really positive and Sarah, Amy and Christine, all making their debuts, played very well and it shows great promise for the coming season.

PoM: Vicky Hudson after she tore the Freethorpe defence to pieces all game, grabbing herself two goals and making more in the process.
