BOHEMIANS GIRLS U14 were at home to Swanton. Some of the girls looked a bit rusty. Bohs were soon pressing the Herons' defence and forced their impressive keeper into a couple of fine saves. With Herons' first meaningful attack they caught Bohs square at the back and the goal was well taken. They quickly added a second in an almost identical manner despite the best efforts of Hollie to keep the shot out. Second half the girls came out strongly and reduced the arrears when Ellie finished from a good corner by Laura. Chloe, who came on just before half-time, levelled things up with a very composed finish before a good shot from Laura was deflected into the net by the Herons defender and goalkeeper. The goal of the game came from Chloe with a terrific long-range effort before Laura got a richly deserved goal and Charlotte rifled home a sixth. Again Marcie and Natalie both had terrific games and Kirsty is making giant strides and is growing in confidence, Paige and Ellie showed some good touches and Hollie's distribution was top-drawer. Hollie B reads the game so well and seems to nearly always be in the right place at the right time and Sophie has this wonderful ability to play well in any position. Thanks to Swanton and to Oliver for refereeing and Mark for lining.

BOHEMIANS U11 GIRLS played a much-improved Firside at New Road. Taking a while to find their game, the girls went in at half-time with a one-goal lead. Jordan, playing in defence, showed the strikers where the goal was, picking up two goals before Millie added a third with a lightning shot into the roof of the net, Olivia added a fourth to close the game for Bohs. After a two-month break the girls showed some inspired moments with new players, Demi and Lauren, adding pace to the team. Rhianna and Indianna, starting the game, played well throughout. Antonia and Jordan in defence neutralised the Firside attack, leaving stand-in goal keeper Briarnie with little to do.

BOHEMIANS GIRLS U10 had their second-ever match against Waveney and with everyone still getting to know each other and working out players' best positions, this was a good opportunity against a more experienced team. Alice, who is captain of the team, opened the scoring with a composed finish just inside the area and Bohs seemed in control and looked like scoring more goals. Megan and Georgia looked solid in defence and it took a good piece of individual skill to get Waveney level before they went ahead just before half-time with another well worked goal. Second half Bohs make some more changes and it was the youngest player on the pitch Fraya who levelled things up and this girl is going to be a little star. Bruna, who is very skilful, added a third before ever-improving Daisy added a fourth with a good run and deft finish. Mentions go to Lauren who did superb in midfield, Georgia who was great in goal second half, Millie who showed a lot of promise and will improve significantly with more experience and Georgina who passes and shoots very well. PoM: Fraya. Thanks to Charlotte for refereeing, to Georgia and Millie's dad who very kindly set the goals up and put them away and all the parents/grandparents who came and supported the team.

BOHEMIANS GIRLS U15 away to Jex ran out convincing 9-0 winners. Sasha opened the scoring with a long- range effort which went past the goalkeeper and she scored a second with a fine header from a superb Chelsea corner. Highlight of a very entertaining first half was a sublime performance from Natalie who wreaked havoc down the right wing and put in numerous great crosses. Second half saw Laura go in goal and Libby went up front and she soon found her form with a fantastic header from a driven cross from Chelsea. Laura Jane is now approaching peak form and added a couple of goals and Chloe richly deserved her goal. Libby then got her second before Sasha got her richly deserved hat-trick from another well- taken corner from Chelsea, and Megan added the ninth with another good header from a well-taken corner from Sasha. Other highlights were Laura in goal who made a couple of terrific saves, Marcie who is the best right-back in the league and Ellen who adapted well to her left-back position. Neneh had a tenacious second half and Mollie is an excellent distributor of the ball and made several good passes. Chelsea was hard to play against and a number of efforts narrowly missed the target. A very entertaining match which was well refereed by James Youngs. PoM: Natalie in Bohs' best team performance of the season.

GORLESTON RANGERS GIRLS U11: A top-of-the-table clash saw the in-form Gorleston face a very resilient Waveney team. The girls spent much of the first period camped in the opposition's half. Rangers demonstrated some great possession football with passing of a much higher calibre than one would expect of their age. One move culminated in Jess firing agonisingly wide from close range. A trademark corner from Aimee found the unmarked Hannah S, whose fierce volley was well saved by the Waveney keeper. The second half saw an amazing solo run right through the heart of the Waveney defence from Hannah S who was foiled only by a quick-thinking goalkeeper. Beth pushed forward at every opportunity. Neve and Jess continued to cause problems but just couldn't get the breakthrough their play deserved. Solid in defence, Mary and Beth were first to virtually every loose ball. The final few minutes saw some frantic goalmouth scrambles with shots from Hannah C and Jess forcing goal-line clearances from the home team. Despite all the possession Rangers were unable to capitalise and had to settle for the draw. GoM: Beth, solid and determined throughout, playing some of her best football of the season.

GORLESTON RANGERS GIRLS U10 visited Sprowston Falcons. The game got off to a great start with a fantastic goal from Jane within the first minute. Sprowston came back with a couple of goal attempts but Kelsey was on great form with two amazing saves. Rangers showed some strong tackling, and amazing defending came from Clarissa. The first saw the girls displaying good teamwork with some great goal attempts from Paige. The second half began with pressure from the Sprowston girls but Rangers fought back with some great tackling. A brilliant run from Jane ended with a pass to Megan who put the ball away nicely for 2-0. Paige made strong tackles putting the pressure back onto Sprowston who came back with their first goal of the game. Rangers went from strength to strength despite playing without any subs, with Jane scoring her second goal for 3-1. With only a few minutes remaining Sprowston forced lots of action around the goalmouth resulting in three goal attempts but nothing was getting past Kelsey. In the last few seconds Clarissa displayed yet more fantastic defending and intercepted a run just in time. GoM went to Kelsey. On December 12, Rangers visited St Edmunds Pride and won 10-2.

SHRUBLANDS U13 GIRLS played a friendly and sporting Freethorpe in under-14s age group. All girls are under-13s except one. With injuries and girls not able to play, both sides had nine players with no goalie for Shrubs, and thanks go to the four girls who shared this position - Harriet, Courtney B, Courtney C and Paige. The girls played some lovely passing football at times with many girls swapping positions. In a solid performance goals came from Nicky Shreeve, Paige Courtney B, Courtney C, Merrick, Abbie and Katherine and Freethorpe replied with good finish and another in the second half which was deflected in by Courtney Charlton from corner. It was a comfortable win and all girls can be pleased with the effort they put in. Player of match went to Katherine and Abbie. Players' player went to Merrick with good luck to Jane and all girls at Freethorpe for rest of season.
